Quanto user guide
This guide is for people who run samples and review results. It uses the names you see in the menus.
Start here
- Set up a method from scratch — samples, analytes, curves, checks, then process, review, and report.
Everyday work
- Batch — samples, the method, and the processing steps.
- Method — analytes, quants, ions, and why one analyte can have several quants.
- Sample review — one sample at a time.
- Analyte review — one analyte across the batch.
- Charts — chromatograms, spectra, and calibration curves.
- Grids — columns, freeze, formats, and colors.
Quantitation
- Quantitation — external standard, internal standard, surrogates, and which quant is reported.
- Spike recovery — a fortified sample on a normal calibration curve, paired with its unspiked vial by SpikeGroup.
- Standard addition — native concentration from unspiked and spiked aliquots.
- Calibration curves — fit, origin, weighting, and R².
- Bracketing — which calibration samples belong to each unknown.
- Example batches — saved batches for each calibration scheme, spike recovery, and standard addition.
- Doses — dose names and the concentration at each level.
- Integration — peaks, baselines, and thresholds.
- Smoothing — Savitzky–Golay on chromatograms.
- Qualifiers — ion ratios, tolerances, and updating the expected percent.
- Peak identification — retention time, candidates, and library scores.
- Checks — ISTD, surrogate, calibration, QC, CCV, and sample checks.
- Continuing calibration verification — a known standard injected through the sequence, kept off the curve fit.
- Limit groups — concentration, recovery, and curve limits.
- Retention time update
- Spectra update
