How Quanto reads Agilent OpenLab CDS sample data (.dx / AcqData layout) and imports OpenLab processing methods (.pmx). OpenLab is not MassHunter and not classic ChemStation — use the OpenLab add-ins below. For MassHunter .D + MSTree2.bin, see MassHunter. For ChemStation data.ms / qdb.mth, see ChemStation / MSD.

Raw data

Item Notes
Sample / result data .dx (OpenLab result / AcqData layout)
How you add it Batch → Add samples — OpenLab data is loaded with the bottles, not as a method file
Modes Single quad SCAN / SIM (and QQQ / MRM where the vendor reader exposes them) — see Compatibility

Reader add-in: AgilentOpenLabDataProvider. Reads OpenLab CDS acquisition data for chromatogram extraction and sample discovery. Support DLLs live under:

C:\Program Files\Quanto\AddIns\VendorSupportFiles\Agilent\

Do not mix these DLLs with another Quanto build.

Method import

Source Add-in (class) What you point at What comes in
OpenLab CDS processing method AgilentOpenLabMethod .pmx processing method (folder, .sirslt / .rslt, or the file itself) Expected compounds, ISTD role/link, signal / EIC m/z, RT windows, curve hints

Import: Method → Load / Import — Replace or Append (Method design).

Acquisition method .amx is not a quant method — do not import it as the Quanto method.

Vendor methods do not set Quanto’s Calibration mode; new work defaults to Initial calibration unless you change it.

OpenLab coverage (short)

Piece Supported?
Data Yes — AgilentOpenLabDataProvider for .dx / AcqData
Method import Yes — AgilentOpenLabMethod for processing methods (.pmx)
Acquisition method .amx Not a quant method — do not import as the Quanto method

Contrast with MassHunter and ChemStation

Vendor Data you point at Method import Index / conversion
OpenLab CDS .dx / AcqData via AgilentOpenLabDataProvider .pmx via AgilentOpenLabMethod OpenLab path — not MassHunter MSTree2.bin
MassHunter .D + AcqData\ via AgilentMassHunterDataProvider .m / .quantmethod.xml or method-from-.D May write MSTree2.bin if missing
ChemStation / MSD .D with data.ms / dataSim.ms .M + qdb.mth Native MSDChem — no index conversion

Wrong expectations (treating OpenLab .dx as MassHunter .D, or importing .amx as a quant method) cause empty extracts or empty compound lists. Confirm which vendor created the file.
