How Quanto reads Shimadzu LabSolutions data and method files and builds MRM methods.

LabSolutions LCMS / GCMS / QGD families use different internal layouts behind similar extensions. Quanto opens them through the same LabSolutions IO module; do not assume one file type’s contents match another.

Raw data

Item Notes
Data files .lcd, .gcd, .qgd, .lrd — opened with LabSolutions LoadData
Extract style MRM / SRM-centric — transitions (Q1 / Q3 / CE when present) from the data file
Modes MRM/SRM chromatograms plus TIC when present
Batch files .lcb, .qgb, .gcb — not opened as sample data. A batch lists separate data files; point Add Samples at those data files (or their folder).

Reader add-in: ShimadzuLcd using Shimadzu LabSolutions IO (Shimadzu.LabSolutions.IO.IoModule). Support DLLs live under:

C:\Program Files\Quanto\AddIns\VendorSupportFiles\Shimadzu\

Quanto ships the required LabSolutions IO support DLLs (including Shimadzu.LabSolutions.IO.IoModule.dll) in that folder. Do not mix DLL sets from different Quanto builds.

Method import

Source What you point at What comes in
Shimadzu method from data .lcd / .gcd / .qgd / .lrd MRM compounds / transitions from ID chromatograms (ShimadzuLcdMethod)
Shimadzu standalone method .lcm / .gcm / .qgm MRM compounds from the method compound table (LoadMethod → MassCompoundTable: name, Q1/Q3, RT; CE/polarity when not present on the table stay unset)

Import: Method → Load / Import — Replace or Append (Method design).

Empty or odd chromatograms

  1. Confirm the Quant MRM (Q1 / Q3 / CE) matches a transition in the data file.
  2. Confirm VendorSupportFiles\Shimadzu is present for this build (IoModule + dependencies).
  3. Confirm the file opens in LabSolutions on the same PC.
  4. Do not select a batch file (.lcb / .qgb / .gcb) as a sample — open the data files it references instead.
