Waters MassLynx
.raw folders, MRM + TIC, MassLynxRaw, method from data.
How Quanto reads Waters MassLynx .raw folders and builds MRM methods from data.
Data
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Format | MassLynx .raw folders (directory containing _HEADER.TXT and _FUNC*.DAT channels) |
| Reader add-in | WatersRaw |
| Modes | MRM chromatograms (Q1/Q3) and TIC |
| Catalog | IMrmTransitionCatalog — one entry per MRM function / transition |
Support DLLs live under:
C:\Program Files\Quanto\AddIns\VendorSupportFiles\Waters\
Quanto ships MassLynxRaw.dll and cdt.dll in that folder. Do not mix DLL sets from different Quanto builds.
Method import
| Source | Importer | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Waters method from data | WatersRawMethod |
MRM compounds / transitions from the .raw function list (optional compound names from _FUNC*.CMP when present) |
Standalone MassLynx experiment / OLE method files are not imported in this release.
Quick check
- Point Add Samples at a folder that contains one or more
.rawdirectories, or at a.rawfolder itself. - Confirm
VendorSupportFiles\Watersis present for this build (MassLynxRaw.dll,cdt.dll). - Import method from the same
.rawto seed MRM compounds, or match existing method Q1/Q3 windows.
Limitations
- Continuum / full-scan library search is out of scope for this reader.
- UNIFI / waters_connect / Empower are separate products and are not supported here.
- Collision energy is not always exposed on the function metadata used for cataloging; CE matching may be skipped.
- TIC uses an early function’s TIC chromatogram when available (not a synthetic sum of all MRM channels).
